Remake
REMAKE
Remake was conceived from a practical insight rooted in architectural experience.
After years working closely with property and development projects, architect John Davies recognised a recurring challenge within the real estate market: homes requiring exterior renovation often struggle to sell, not because of their potential, but because that potential is difficult to visualise.
SCOPE
Brand identity
Naming & narrative
Visual language
Typography & colour system
Remake was born as a solution.
A draft vision service designed to reimagine the exterior of a property, illustrating how form, material and proportion could be transformed. The aim was not to redesign, but to reframe — helping buyers see possibility, and enabling agents to present homes not as problems, but as future lifestyles.
Studio de la Sol was commissioned to create the brand identity for this concept from the ground up. The project began without a name, allowing space to shape both language and meaning. Through collaborative exploration, Remake emerged — a word that is both direct and optimistic, grounded in its simplest definition: to make new, or in a different form. From this, the narrative followed naturally:
A home reinvented to complement a lifestyle.
The identity was designed to speak with quiet confidence to both estate agents and private buyers. Contemporary in tone, tactile in feeling, and rooted in natural references, the visual language balances clarity with warmth — positioning Remake as a considered, design-led tool rather than a sales device.
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
– Marcel Proust
Remake is a conceptual identity project exploring how thoughtful visualisation can transform perception. Designed to help property agents reframe homes in need of exterior renovation, the brand offers a clear, contemporary vision of what could be — turning the unfamiliar into something aspirational, and helping buyers see possibility rather than limitation.
